The DES, through the Publication and Reference section at the Directorate and the District Statistical Officer at the District level, collects secondary data from various State and Central Government departments including autonomous and semi-government agencies. These data are compiled, tabulated, and analyzed by the section's staff to publish reports like the State Statistical Handbook, Statistical Abstracts, Meghalaya in Figures, District Key Statistics, and more on a regular basis.
